Public Notice: Update on Second Amendment to Agreement for Law Enforcement Services

By Public Announcement

As of this writing, the draft Second Amendment to the Agreement for Law Enforcement Services remains with the County awaiting what we hope will be their final approval. The negotiation process has now extended beyond three weeks, during which the Town has worked diligently to ensure that Ridgely’s concerns are thoroughly documented and addressed in writing.

Given the importance of this agreement and the effort invested in getting it right, the Town Commissioners believe it is in Ridgely’s best interest to postpone public discussion and any formal action until the July Town Meeting. Too much thoughtful work has gone into this process to rush a decision at the last minute.

Please be assured that the Commissioners and Town Staff remain fully committed to securing the strongest possible agreement while maintaining transparency and accountability throughout.

For the Commissioners of Ridgely,

Clarence B. (Brad) Sears

President
